About the Role
DK Recruitment are seeking a skilled and proactive EC&I Technician to join our clients' engineering team. This is a key role responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving electrical, control, and instrumentation systems across site to ensure maximum reliability and performance.
You’ll play a crucial part in supporting operational efficiency, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives within a fast-paced industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on electrical, control, and instrumentation systems
* Diagnose faults and perform effective repairs to minimise downtime
* Maintain and calibrate instrumentation equipment
* Support PLC fault finding and basic modifications
* Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment and upgrades
* Ensure all work is completed in line with health, safety, and compliance standards
* Contribute to continuous improvement and reliability projects
* Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
Requirements
* Recognised apprenticeship or qualification in Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering
* Experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment
* Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
* Knowledge of PLC systems
* Experience with control panels, sensors, drives, and process instrumentation
* Understanding of health & safety regulations
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable
* HNC/HND in Electrical, Control or Instrumentation Engineering
* Experience with SCADA or DCS systems
* COMPEX or hazardous area experience
