Independent Accountancy Practice | Office-Based

Looking for a payroll role where you'll be more than just a number?

I'm currently working with a growing independent accountancy practice that has built an excellent reputation for both its client service and team culture.

As the firm continues to grow, they're looking to appoint an experienced Payroll Senior to take ownership of a varied payroll portfolio and become a key member of the team.

This is an opportunity to join a friendly, supportive practice where you'll work closely with colleagues across accounts and tax, have direct client contact and play an important role in delivering a first-class payroll service.

Why Join?

This isn't a large corporate environment where payroll sits in a silo.

You'll be joining a close-knit team where your contribution is valued, your expertise is recognised and you'll have the opportunity to build strong relationships with both clients and colleagues.

The practice prides itself on providing a supportive environment where people enjoy coming to work, work collaboratively and are encouraged to continue developing their careers.

The Role

As Payroll Senior, you'll take responsibility for managing a portfolio of payroll clients, ensuring accurate and timely processing whilst providing an excellent level of service.

Responsibilities will include:

* Managing a portfolio of weekly, fortnightly, four-weekly and monthly payrolls

* Processing payrolls from start to finish

* Managing auto-enrolment pension duties

* Handling statutory payments including SSP, SMP and SPP

* Processing starters, leavers and payroll amendments

* Liaising directly with clients and responding to payroll queries

* Ensuring compliance with HMRC legislation and payroll regulations

* Supporting colleagues and assisting with payroll-related projects when required

Who Would This Suit?

This role would suit an experienced Payroll professional who enjoys client interaction, takes pride in delivering an accurate and efficient service and wants to be part of a practice where they can make a genuine contribution.

We're keen to speak with individuals who have:

* Payroll experience gained within an accountancy practice, bureau or payroll environment

* Experience managing multiple payrolls simultaneously

* Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and compliance requirements

* Excellent communication and organisational skills

* A proactive and client-focused approach

What's On Offer?

✔ Join a growing and well-respected independent practice

✔ Friendly and supportive team environment

✔ Varied client portfolio

✔ Direct client contact and relationship management

✔ Ongoing training and development

✔ Genuine long-term career opportunities

✔ A firm that values its people and promotes a positive working culture

If you're looking for a Payroll Senior opportunity where you'll be trusted, valued and given the chance to develop within a growing practice, I'd love to tell you more
