About the RoleProvide compassionate support to children with autism, promoting their participation in daily activities and learning. Assist with implementing individual support plans and encourage positive behaviour and social interaction. Work collaboratively with the team to create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment. Monitor and report on progress, maintaining clear and accurate records.

Requirements

Previous experience supporting children or adults with additional needs is essential.
Knowledge and understanding of Ofsted guidelines.
Compassionate and patient approach to supporting children with autism.
Ability to promote positive behaviour and encourage social interaction.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with children, families, and team members.
Basic literacy and numeracy skills to maintain accurate records and assist with daily activities.
Willingness to learn and collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Understanding of autism and its impact on learning and behaviour is advantageous. .
Commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment.
Ability to observe, monitor, and report on children’s progress clearly and accurately.
Reliable and adaptable with a positive attitude towards personal and professional development
