Salary: £27,000 - £29,000 per annum depending on experience, plus Veolia benefits and pension

Hours: 40 hours per week, 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday

Location: Durham, DL17 9DT

What you'll be doing:

Proactively communicate with customers

Provide status updates and maintain contact with drivers throughout the day

Upon drivers return to the depot, they will complete the debrief process within the allocated time and report any necessary action or updates as required

Be the face to face contact with our drivers on a daily basis, supporting drivers to act on issues identified on the rounds which may include reporting all safety concerns or container damage via close call reporting and encouraging 'stop the job' if it is deemed unsafe to continue in line with company operating procedures and processes

Create a customer excellence approach & culture

React to and manage customer queries and complaints

Implement service practices that meet the customers' needs

Maintain a "zero harm" safety culture within depots

Ensure service delivery, in line with customer expectations

Engage with interested stakeholders including the wider Veolia team or Management team

Ensure Veolia legal compliance on site - WTD and transport compliance

Provide clear, transparent and accurate reporting of daily debriefing

Lead, manage and develop all direct reports Communicate matters of business interest and importance to Drivers

What we're looking for:

Full Car Driving Licence

Previous experience of operating within a similar industry; waste/transport/logistics

Able to demonstrate an understanding of transport compliance and WTD

Good communication skills communicating with people of all levels specifically including drivers and frontline employees

Ability to organise a busy workload and operate at a fast pace Working with a quality management system e.g. ISO Managing transport compliance Experienced IT Skills, MS Office 2000 and the ability to adapt to Google
