SEN TA / Behaviour Support Worker – Specialized Education Opportunities

Recruiter: GAC Education

Location: Wirral, UK

Pay Rate: £95.00 – £115.00 per day (paid weekly, depending on experience)

Job Type: Full-Time, Term-Time Only (Long-term placements available)

Are you a resilient, empathetic, and proactive educator who excels at breaking down barriers to learning? GAC Education is urgently seeking a dedicated SEN TA / Behaviour Support Worker to join our team, supporting mainstream and specialized schools across the Wirral.

The Opportunity

In this rewarding role, you will be making a profound difference every single day. As an experienced SEN TA / Behaviour Support Worker, your primary focus will be supporting pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, ADHD, and Autism, helping them de-escalate challenging situations and re-engage with their learning.

We work with a variety of highly supportive primary, secondary, and alternative provision schools in the local area. Working as a SEN TA / Behaviour Support Worker, you will implement tailored behavior plans, manage small-group interventions, and provide vital one-to-one mentorship to ensure vulnerable children feel safe, valued, and capable of succeeding in the classroom.

What We’re Looking For

*

Experience: Proven experience supporting children with complex needs or challenging behaviors (e.g., in a school, care, sports coaching, or youth work background).

*

Skills: Strong de-escalation skills, high emotional intelligence, and a calm, patient demeanor under pressure.

*

Training: Team Teach, MAPA, or equivalent positive handling training is highly desirable, though not essential.

*

Compliance: An enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or a willingness to process a new one with us).

Why Choose GAC Education on the Wirral?

We value the incredible work our specialist support staff do, which is why we offer top-tier compensation and genuine career support.

Benefits & Perks

What GAC Offers You

Premium Daily Pay: Exceptional rates of £95.00 – £115.00 per day, ensuring your specialist skills are fairly rewarded.

Consistent Work: Long-term, stable term-time placements with the potential to transition into permanent school contracts.

Free Training: Regular access to free CPD courses, including Safeguarding and Behaviour Management techniques.

Local Knowledge: A dedicated Wirral-based consultant who understands the local education landscape and matches you to the right school
