Prospero Teaching is currently recruiting for a dedicated and experienced SEN Teacher to work within a primary school resource base in Handsworth, Birmingham supporting pupils with additional needs.
The Role
This is a full-time teaching role within a well-established primary resource base. You will be working with pupils who are working at a lower developmental level, delivering tailored learning to meet individual needs.
Key Responsibilities
Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons
Supporting pupils with ASD leading the class, in small groups and on a 1:1 basis
Working closely with support staff, SENCOs, and external professionals
Creating a structured, nurturing learning environment
Monitoring progress and adapting teaching strategies accordingly
The Ideal Candidate
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience working with pupils with ASD and additional needs
Primary or SEN teaching background preferred
Patient, adaptable, and committed to inclusive education
Able to start September 2026 and commit until at least the summer term
