The School and Role
Vision for Education is seeking to hire a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to work on a full-time basis at a Primary School in Gateshead (NE40) from September 2026. The HLTA who is successfully appointed for the role will be working in the Alternative Provision each morning - supporting pupils with additional needs. In the afternoons, the role will involve covering PPA sessions for teachers across KS2. This is a ‘Good’ Primary school, where staff foster a love of learning and where children feel happy and supported coming to school.
Requirements
The desired HLTA will have;
- Experience of working with primary school aged children
- Experience of working with pupils with SEND
- A passion for the progress of primary school pupils
- An ability to work as part of a team
