Contract/Project
Assistant Property Manager
East London
12 month fixed term contract
£28,000 to £35,000
Monday to Friday, 9:30am to 5:30pm
Liquid is working with a well established property management company in East London that is looking to appoint an Assistant Property Manager to support its residential block management team.
This is a hands on role supporting the day to day management of leasehold residential blocks. The client is looking for someone with genuine experience in block management, leasehold management or residential property management, rather than someone who has only provided general customer service or administration support to those teams.
You will work closely with senior property managers and the wider team, helping to manage resident and client enquiries, service charge budgets, contractor performance, inspections, compliance matters, Section 20 consultations and major works.

The role would suit someone who already understands the basics of leasehold and block management and wants to develop further in a busy, experienced property management environment.

Key responsibilities
Managing day to day enquiries from leaseholders, residents, clients and contractors
Supporting the preparation of service charge budgets and related administration
Helping to coordinate repairs, maintenance, contractors and inspections
Supporting Section 20 consultations, major works and long term agreements
Checking lease obligations, statutory requirements and health and safety matters
Attending site inspections, leaseholder meetings, directors meetings and AGMs when required
Preparing letters, reports and general property management correspondence

What we are looking for
At least two years’ experience in block management, leasehold management or residential property management
A working knowledge of leasehold matters, service charges, repairs, compliance and contractor management
Experience dealing directly with leaseholders, residents, contractors and clients
Good written communication and the ability to manage queries clearly and professionally
Strong organisation skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
IRPM membership or a relevant property qualification would be an advantage, but hands on experience is the key requirement

The offer
Salary of £28,000 to £35,000
12 month fixed term contract
35 hour working week
Primarily office based role with some flexibility
Supportive team environment with the chance to develop further within residential block management

Ideally, interviews to be held 30th June 2026 so please apply ASAP if keen
