About the Role
As a Psychology Teacher, you will deliver engaging and academically rigorous lessons that encourage students to explore key psychological concepts, research methods, and real-world applications. You will support learners in developing critical thinking, analytical skills, and scientific understanding of behaviour.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver high-quality Psychology lessons in line with GCSE and A-Level specifications
Teach topics such as cognitive psychology, social influence, memory, development, and psychopathology
Introduce research methods, data analysis, and evaluation skills
Support students in developing essay writing and exam techniques
Assess, track, and report on student progress
Contribute to curriculum development within the department
Support enrichment activities such as revision workshops or psychology clubsAbout You
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (desirable but not always essential for sixth form)
Degree in Psychology or related subject
Strong understanding of psychological theories and research
Ability to make complex concepts engaging and accessible
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Commitment to safeguarding and student well being
Willingness to contribute to wider school and sixth form lifeSafeguarding Statement
