InstaStaff are seeking a reliable and hardworking FLT and Warehouse Operative to join a busy warehouse team on a permanent basis, this role will working be on the morning shift.
Working for a leading metal stockholder, you will be responsible for the safe receipt, storage, movement, picking, and dispatch of aluminum and other metal products. The role involves operating a counterbalance forklift truck, loading and unloading vehicles, stock control, and maintaining high standards of health and safety.
Duties of the FLT / Warehouse Operative include
Load and unload vehicles using a Counterbalance forklift truck.
Receive, check and book in incoming materials.
Pick, prepare and dispatch customer orders.
Move and store stock safely within the warehouse and yard.
Ensure all materials are correctly identified and recorded.
Maintain accurate stock records and supporting documentation.
Carry out daily equipment checks and report any defects.
Maintain high standards of housekeeping and safety.
Support continuous improvement and efficient warehouse operations.
Work closely with other warehouse operatives, supervisors, and managers to ensure effective shift handovers and information flow.
Support stock checks and any other reasonable duties as required.
The ideal FLT / Warehouse Operative will have:
Valid Counterbalance forklift truck license.
Previous warehouse, logistics or manufacturing experience.
Good understanding of goods in/out processes and stock control.
Basic computer skills and attention to detail.
The hours of work for the FLT / Warehouse Operative are Monday – Thursday 6am – 2.30pm, and on a Friday you will finish at 12pm
The salary for the FLT / Warehouse Operative will be £27,040 per year / £13.00 per hour
