About the Role
As a PE Teacher, you will deliver engaging practical and theoretical lessons across a range of sports and fitness activities. You will encourage participation, resilience, and sportsmanship while supporting student's physical development and well being.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver high-quality PE lessons in line with the national curriculum
Teach a variety of sports including team games, athletics, gymnastics, and fitness
Deliver both practical and theory-based lessons (where applicable)
Assess, track, and report on student progress
Support GCSE and A-Level PE / Sports Science (where applicable)
Promote health, fitness, and well being across the school
Organise extracurricular sports clubs, fixtures, and school teams
Support inter-school competitions and sporting eventsAbout You
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or related subject
Strong practical sporting ability and subject knowledge
Ability to motivate and engage students of all abilities
Strong behaviour management and classroom leadership skills
Commitment to safeguarding and student well being
Willingness to contribute to wider school sport and enrichmentWhat We Offer
