Timeplan Education are working with a SEN school in Torbay to recruit a resilient, passionate, motivated and committed Education Behaviour Mentor to start in September 2023 on a long term basis that could lead to a permanent role.

Prior experience of supporting young people that have had a difficult upbringing and additional learning needs is essential for this role as you will required to work within a challenging school environment throughout the day, supporting young people aged between 12 and 16 either in small groups or on a one-to-one basis. Some of the students have Autism and ADHD and others have SEMH / trauma-based needs. Your role will be to support their learning, social, emotional, and behavioural needs.

This role of Education Behaviour Mentor is full-time, Monday to Friday - 8:30am to 4.30pm on a term time basis starting on 1st September 2026. This role could become permanent.

The daily pay rate is between £95 and £110 per day (inclusive of holiday pay) depending on experience.

The role of Education Behaviour Mentor is very rewarding and quite challenging. You will be fully supported by a highly skilled, friendly staff team however you will be expected to work on your own initiative at times to support the pupils in the best way possible.

What you can expect from this position:

Provide support to SEN secondary students that are learning at primary level.
Work with small groups of young people to carry out interventions.
Use your experience and passion to engage with students.
Assisting with the planning and delivery of learning activities.
Supervising students during non-classroom time.
