Vision for Education is seeking an enthusiastic Teacher of History for a long-term maternity cover position in Blackpool, Lancashire. The successful Teacher of History will join the school from September 2026 and continue in the role until May 2027.

The Role

As a Teacher of History in Blackpool, Lancashire, you will:

Deliver engaging History lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
Plan and assess learning in line with the national curriculum
Inspire students to develop a passion for History
Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
Monitor progress and support students to achieve their potential
Work collaboratively with colleagues and parents

Requirements

To be considered for this Teacher of History role in Blackpool, Lancashire, you will:

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Have experience teaching History in a secondary school setting
Demonstrate strong classroom management skills
Have excellent communication and organisational abilities
Be committed to raising standards and pupil outcomes
Be able to provide suitable references and complete an enhanced DBS check
