The OpportunityAn exciting opportunity has become available for a Field Service Engineer to join a globally recognised engineering organisation specialising in advanced industrial tooling and automation solutions.

This field-based position offers a high level of autonomy, diverse technical challenges, and the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology across a wide range of customer sites throughout the UK.

Key Responsibilities
Install, commission, and service industrial tooling and automation equipment

Diagnose faults and optimise the performance of pneumatic, battery-powered, and DC tooling systems

Support network installations and PLC integrations

Carry out tool calibration, testing, and certification activities

Perform preventative maintenance and pre-delivery inspections

Provide technical support and resolve customer issues from initial diagnosis through to completion

Identify opportunities for equipment upgrades, service contracts, and additional solutions

Complete detailed service reports, documentation, and maintenance records

Build strong customer relationships and deliver exceptional service standards

About YouEssential Requirements
HNC, HND, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

Experience working with industrial power tools, automation equipment, or within a manufacturing/service engineering environment

Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills

Ability to work independently and manage your own workload effectively

Excellent communication and customer-facing skills

Full UK Driving Licence

Willingness to travel throughout the UK, including occasional overnight stays

Desirable Experience
Knowledge of industrial networking and automation systems

Exposure to PLC-controlled equipment

Experience within manufacturing, assembly, or industrial production environments
