Salary: M1–UPS3 (£34,398 – £52,490)

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic and passionate KS2 Primary Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Harpenden from September 2026. This is a full-time position within Key Stage 2, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on pupils’ learning and development during an important stage of their education.

The successful candidate will be committed to delivering engaging, creative and well-structured lessons that inspire learners, promote high standards, and support pupils’ academic, social and emotional progress.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging KS2 lessons across the primary curriculum.
• Support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development.
• Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils.
• Monitor, assess and track pupil progress, providing clear feedback and next steps.
• Create a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and parents.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school.
• Uphold safeguarding and behaviour expectations at all times.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
• Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are welcome to apply and will be fully supported.
• Experience teaching within KS2 is desirable.
• Strong understanding of the Primary National Curriculum.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• A positive, proactive and reflective approach to teaching.
