School Administrator
To provide efficient and effective administrative support to the school, ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of administrative systems and processes. The postholder will utilise Arbor MIS to maintain accurate pupil and staff records, support attendance management, admissions, reporting, communications, and statutory data requirements. The role requires excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, governors, and external agencies.
Key ResponsibilitiesAdministration and Office Management
Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Senior Leadership Team and wider school staff.
Manage reception duties, acting as the first point of contact for visitors, parents, and external agencies.
Handle telephone, email, and face-to-face enquiries professionally and efficiently.
Maintain accurate filing systems and school records in accordance with GDPR requirements.
Support the organisation of school events, meetings, and parent consultations.Arbor Management Information System (MIS)
Maintain and update pupil, staff, and parent data within Arbor.
Process admissions, transfers, leavers, and new starters accurately.
Manage daily attendance records, investigating absences and producing attendance reports.
Generate reports for senior leaders, governors, and local authority requirements.
Support census returns and ensure data accuracy for statutory reporting.
Manage parent communications through Arbor, including emails, text messaging, and notifications.
Assist with timetable, behaviour, assessment, and safeguarding data administration where required.Attendance and Pupil Administration
Monitor daily attendance and follow up on unexplained absences.
Produce attendance reports and support attendance improvement initiatives.
Maintain pupil records and ensure compliance with school and local authority procedures.
