Location: Hertfordshire (Welwyn & Hatfield Area)
Pay Rate: £24.65 per hour
Contract Type: Temporary (16 Weeks) - Potential for Permanent Employment
About the Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Voids Supervisor to oversee the delivery of void property refurbishment and turnaround works within a social housing environment across the Welwyn & Hatfield area.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated supervisor with a strong background in housing maintenance, voids, or property refurbishment to join a busy team on an initial 16-week temporary contract, with the potential to secure a permanent position.
You will play a key role in ensuring vacant properties are brought back to lettable standard efficiently, safely, and within agreed timescales.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise operatives, subcontractors, and void refurbishment works across multiple properties
Manage property turnaround programmes to minimise void periods and meet performance targets
Carry out pre- and post-inspections to assess work requirements and quality standards
Ensure all works are completed in line with health and safety regulations and company procedures
Monitor productivity, materials, and resource allocation to achieve programme deadlines
Liaise with internal teams, contractors, and housing representatives to ensure smooth project delivery
Resolve site issues promptly and effectively to avoid delays
Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation relating to void works
About You
Previous experience in a supervisory role within social housing, property maintenance, voids, or refurbishment projects
Good understanding of building maintenance and refurbishment processes
Experience managing operatives and subcontractors across multiple sites
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities
Knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practices
Full UK driving licence preferred
