School Administrator (Temporary to Permanent)
Location: Reading
Salary: £16.00 - £17.00 per hour

We are currently seeking an experienced and highly organised School Administrator to join a busy and welcoming school in Reading on a temporary-to-permanent basis.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day administrative functions of the school, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the school office.
Key Responsibilities
Managing front-of-house reception duties and acting as the first point of contact for visitors, parents, staff and pupils.
Handling telephone and email enquiries in a professional manner.
Maintaining accurate pupil records and school databases.
Processing attendance records and monitoring absences.
Supporting admissions, enrolment and student documentation processes.
Assisting with school communications, newsletters and correspondence.
Providing administrative support to the Senior Leadership Team and teaching staff.
Managing filing systems and ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
Coordinating meetings, appointments and school events.Essential Requirements
Previous experience working as a School Administrator within an educational setting.
Enhanced DBS on the update service
Proven experience using School Management Information Systems (MIS), such as SIMS, Arbor, Bromcom or equivalent.
Strong organisational and administrative skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
A professional, friendly and approachable manner.Desirable
Previous experience working with pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) would be a distinct advantage.
Understanding of safeguarding procedures within an educational setting.What We Offer
