Trainee Enforcement Agent – Portsmouth | Full Training, Company Car, £45–£60k OTE
No experience needed. We’ll train you, certify you to City & Guilds standard, and put you in a company car. If you can stay calm and have a straight, grown-up conversation, this is a career — not just a job.
Our client is a major national enforcement and recovery group, and they’ve just launched a 12-week paid Academy that turns motivated people into qualified Resolution Specialists (Enforcement Agents). You start on a £25,000 base, with realistic on-target earnings of £45,000–£60,000 once you’re certified — and the qualification is yours to keep.
This isn’t bailiff work the way most people picture it. It’s a regulated, professional, field-based role. Most days you’re out on a managed Portsmouth / Hampshire patch, visiting properties and resolving cases on behalf of local councils — usually unpaid council tax. The job is mostly conversation and judgement, with the paperwork around it.
What you’ll be doing
* Working a local Portsmouth / Hampshire patch, visiting addresses to engage with people on warrants issued by local councils
* Resolving cases through calm, professional conversation and de-escalation
* Managing your own caseload and diary independently, backed by an experienced enforcement manager
* Recording outcomes and submitting accurate reports on the client’s systems
* Working within the relevant legislation and the company’s conduct standards
This could suit you if you’ve worked in
* Customer service, complaints or a contact centre — you already know how to de-escalate
* Retail or hospitality (duty manager, supervisor, branch manager) — you handle difficult situations every shift
* The forces, police, PCSO, prison or security — your people skills transfer straight across
* Collections, debt recovery, civil enforcement or debt advice — this is your field-based step up
* Self-employed driving, courier, delivery or taxi work — same independence, but with a salary, a car and a career
What you need
* A full UK manual driving licence (essential)
* The right to work in the UK
* Willingness to pass DBS and County Court Judgment checks
* To be comfortable with shift patterns roughly between 6am and 9pm, and the odd weekend
* The right temperament — calm, professional, empathetic and resilient
What’s on offer
* £25,000 base + uncapped OTE of £45,000–£60,000
* Company vehicle
* 12-week paid Academy training programme
* City & Guilds Assured certification — yours to keep
* Clear progression to Senior Resolution Specialist for top performers
* A permanent role with a 5,000+ employee national group
How to apply
Apply now with your CV. The first step is a short screening conversation with Red Dot Search, then we’ll introduce you to the client’s Academy team for the 27 July intake. Got a question first? Call us — we’d rather have a conversation than leave you guessing
