Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver high-quality English Language and Literature lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Create engaging learning experiences that challenge and motivate students.

Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of all learners.
Maintain high expectations for behaviour, attendance, and academic performance.
Contribute to the wider life of the English department and academy community.
Attend departmental meetings, parents' evenings, and other school events as required.
Promote safeguarding and student welfare at all times.
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
Degree in English or a related subject.
Recent experience teaching English in a secondary school setting.
Strong subject knowledge and understanding of the current English curriculum.
Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
A commitment to raising attainment and supporting student success.
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one through Tradewind Recruitment.
Satisfactory professional references covering the last two years.
