With a strong pipeline of secured work and ambitious growth plans targeting £75m turnover, they are looking to strengthen their commercial team with the appointment of a Quantity Surveyor.
The Role
Reporting into the Estimating Director, the Quantity Surveyor will play a key role in the successful commercial delivery of civil engineering and infrastructure projects from contract award through to final account.

Projects typically include highways, infrastructure, industrial developments, energy schemes, ports, flood defence and public realm works.
This is a highly hands on Quantity Surveyor role, focused on driving commercial performance through effective cost control, value optimisation and profit improvement, with less emphasis on reporting and administrative tasks.

* Managing subcontractor procurement, payments and account agreements
* Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities
* Preparing cost reports, forecasts and cash flow projections

* Supporting contract administration under NEC and JCT forms of contract
* Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and project teams
* Assisting with dispute avoidance and commercial negotiations where required
What We're Looking For
* Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering, groundworks, infrastructure or construction
* Good understanding of NEC contracts (JCT knowledge also advantageous)
* Strong commercial and contractual awareness
* Experience managing subcontractor accounts and client valuations
* Excellent negotiation and communication skills
* Strong analytical and financial management abilities
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and commercial reporting systems
* Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline preferred
Why Join?
* Secure pipeline of work across multiple sectors
* Exciting projects across the Humber region and wider UK
* Flexible and hybrid working arrangements
* Genuine opportunities for career progression and development
* Fast track opportunity to Senior Quantity Surveyor for an ambitious and driven QS
* Collaborative, family-oriented culture
* Regular team-building and employee engagement activities
* Opportunity to join a growing business with ambitious expansion plans
This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor looking to join a progressive contractor where they can make a genuine impact on the successful delivery of high-profile civil engineering and infrastructure projects while developing their career within a growing commercial team
