BDS Recruitment are currently looking for a Youth Development Worker to work within the St Austell area.
We are looking for someone innovative and creative in their ways of working to work who has the ability to engage with a range of young people.
The role will be based in supported accommodation for young people aged 16- 25.
Main duties will include
* Provide one-to-one key worker support to young people aged 16–25.
* Develop and review support and action plans tailored to individual goals.
* Update and manage risk assessments and risk management plans.
* Support young people with tenancy and housing management.
* Assist with benefits applications (e.g., Universal Credit, PIP, Housing Benefit).
* Guide young people in budgeting, paying bills, and managing finances.
* Explore and support pathways into education, training, and employment.
* Collaborate with external agencies (mental health, domestic violence services, landlords, etc.).
* Help young people prepare for independent living and successful move-on
Hours per week: 37 hours on a Rota pattern.
Contract; Temp ongoing role.
Pay rate: £15.34ph paye or £19.90 umbrella
Please note you will require your own transport for this role and any mileage will be paid at 45p per mile.
