The school is looking to appoint a permanent Learning Support Assistant on a full-time basis. The successful Learning Support Assistant will support students aged 11-16 with SEMH needs, working closely with teaching staff to provide classroom support, promote positive behaviour and help students engage successfully with their learning.
The successful Learning Support Assistant will have:
• Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs, behavioural challenges or additional needs
• A relevant Learning Support Assistant qualification or equivalent experience
• Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills
• The ability to support students both academically and emotionally
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A patient, resilient and proactive approach
