Sales Engineer, £45,000 – £50,000 + Commission (£15k–£20k OTE) + BMW Company Car
* 39-hour week – Full-time, permanent role – Monday to Thursday 8am–5pm, Friday 8am–1:30pm (some flexibility)
* Well-established, family-owned engineering business specialising in the design & manufacture of filtration systems for industrial and commercial clients.
* Strong reputation for improving factory efficiency, safety and environmental performance, supported by a hands-on and supportive leadership team.
Your background as a Sales Engineer:
* This would suit a Sales Engineer, Applications Engineer, or a Project Engineer who enjoys abit of sales / wants to pivot.
* A commercially minded individual with a background in engineering, preferably within the same industry or similar (industrial equipment / dust extraction / filtration etc).
* Comfortable working in a consultative, solution-led sales environment
* Confident engaging with customers on-site and understanding technical requirements
* Strong communication skills with a practical, hands-on approach
* Full UK driving licence (ideally no points)
Sales Engineer responsibilities:
* Manage predominantly inbound and warm sales enquiries (minimal cold calling)
* Work closely with customers to understand requirements and convert enquiries into orders.
* Visit customer sites to survey, measure and specify engineered solutions
* Liaise with internal engineering and service teams to deliver the right solution
This Sales Engineer role will mainly cover the West Midlands / Southwest / possibly parts of Wales. The offices are based in Leicester, so we are very open to location given the nature of the role – but ideally West Midlands & surrounding areas.
