Looking for a Music teaching role in a supportive middle school environment?
Smile Education is working with a welcoming middle school in Redditch seeking a dedicated Music Teacher to join from September 2026. The successful candidate will teach Music across KS2 and KS3, delivering engaging practical and theory-based lessons that inspire students to develop their musical knowledge, creativity, and performance skills.
This role would suit an experienced teacher, ECT, or a teacher returning to the classroom looking for a positive and supportive working environment.
🏫 The Role
Teach Music across KS2–KS3
Deliver engaging practical and theory-based Music lessons
Develop students' performance, composition, and listening skills
Support student progress and prepare pupils for GCSE Music examinations
Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management
Work collaboratively within the wider Performing Arts department and contribute to extracurricular music activities where appropriate✅ What We’re Looking For
QTS / QTLS or equivalent teaching qualification
Experience teaching Music at KS2 and KS3
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
Excellent subject knowledge with the ability to inspire students of all abilities
