Immediate Start
£93 - £100 Daily
Temporary
Vision for Education are looking for Teaching Assistants to work in Primary Schools in March and surrounding villages, working with a variety of year groups both generally and on a one-to-one basis.

About the role

Schools regularly contact us looking for teaching assistant support. Schools are generally looking for teaching assistants to work on a 1-1 or small group basis with children who require additional support. These roles tend to come about with very little notice due to schools taking on a new starter or long term staff absence.

We are looking for people with a confident approach to building relationships with children, particularly those with SEND. You will need to have a calm and empathetic approach and an understanding that behaviour is a means of communication. A working knowledge of the 'Cambridge Therapeutic Approach' would be beneficial.

About the school

The schools we work with with are friendly and supportive with solid staff induction procedures.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Teaching Assistant you will:

Have some experience or working in a school or similar setting in the last 3 years (6 months minimum)
Hold a TA Qualification (desirable but not essential)
Have some experience of working with children with SEND
Have a genuine passion for working in education
Hold a full enhanced DBS clearance
Be able to provide two recent references to support your work with children
Please note, this is a full time role and access to a car is essential
Vision for Education is committed to safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults. We take our responsibilities extremely seriously. All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
