Our client, a well-established temporary power solutions provider, is currently recruiting a Mechanical Field Service Engineer to join their Field Service team. The Mechanical Field Service Engineer will be responsible for supporting our client's new Southeast Depot by performing maintenance and repairs on their rental fleet of generators,

Key Responsibilities for the Mechanical Field Service Engineer:

Planned Maintenance and Service - Perform routine servicing and maintenance of diesel generators.
Service and Repairs - Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on rental generators, ensuring quick resolution of any issues.
Site Surveys - Conduct site surveys as requested to assess service needs and maintenance requirements.
On-Call Duty - Participate in the company's on-call rota system to provide timely assistance during off-hours.
Follow the company's Health & Safety Policy, maintaining clean and orderly workspaces, including company vehicles.

Skills Required for the Mechanical Field Service Engineer:

A relevant qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Diesel Fitting, or Plant Maintenance (e.g., City & Guilds, BTEC)
Alternatively, completion of an approved apprenticeship in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
Strong fault-finding skills and effective communication abilities
Prior experience working in a field service role (advantageous)
Full driving licence required
