As an Ecologist, you will play a key role in delivering ecological services across projects throughout Wales and the wider UK. Responsibilities will include conducting habitat and protected species surveys, undertaking ecological assessments, preparing technical reports, and providing ecological advice throughout project lifecycles.
You will work closely with clients, planners, environmental specialists, and project managers to ensure ecological considerations are integrated into project design and delivery. The role offers a balance of fieldwork, technical report writing, data interpretation, and stakeholder engagement, making it ideal for an Ecologist seeking a varied and rewarding position.
Key Requirements
Degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, Environmental Management, or a related discipline
Previous experience within an ecological consultancy or similar environmental role
Good knowledge of UK ecological legislation, planning policy, and best practice guidance
Experience carrying out ecological surveys and preparing technical reports
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent organisational and time management abilities
Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team
Full UK driving licence
Full right to work in the UK
