ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a reliable and experienced Mobile Drainage Engineer to support our growing maintenance portfolio across commercial, retail, healthcare, education, industrial and public sector environments.
The successful candidate will deliver both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive drainage services across a wide range of drainage assets and systems. The role requires a technically competent engineer who is comfortable carrying out fault finding, blockage clearance, CCTV surveys, drainage repairs and remedial works whilst ensuring all work is completed safely, compliantly and to a high standard.
You will work across multiple client sites providing a professional service while maintaining strong communication with clients, helpdesk teams and account management teams, ensuring contractual obligations, SLAs and KPIs are achieved.
This role requires a proactive engineer who can operate independently, identify remedial opportunities, produce quotations where required and maintain accurate records using the CAFM system.
WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR WITHIN YOUR SPECIFIED AREA
Completion of PPM tasks in line with contract schedules and drainage maintenance programmes.
Routine cleansing and jetting of drainage systems.
Inspection of below-ground and above-ground drainage assets.
Attend drainage emergencies and reactive callouts.
Diagnose drainage faults and identify root causes.
Clear blockages using mechanical and high-pressure water jetting equipment.
Carry out drainage repairs and minor excavation works.
Conduct CCTV drainage inspections.
Repair damaged pipework, chambers and associated infrastructure.
Ensure breakdowns are diagnosed quickly and resolved safely.
Minimise disruption to client operations.
Ensuring all maintenance activities are delivered efficiently and proactively.
Production of accurate quotations ensuring,
Correct parts and materials identification,
Labour estimates.
Clear scope of works.

HPWJA Water Jetting Safety Awareness.
Basic plumbing skills
CCTV Drainage Survey Qualification.
Confined Space Medium Risk.
Confined Space High Risk & Rescue.
NRSWA Street Works Qualification.

IOSH Working Safely.
Asbestos Awareness.
IPAF.
PASMA.
Environmental Awareness Qualification.
Experience using Joblogic or CAFM systems.
Experience
Minimum 3–5 years drainage industry experience.
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding capability.
Experience operating high-pressure jetting equipment.
Experience carrying out drainage repairs and blockage clearance.
Experience within a mobile facilities maintenance environment.
Experience producing drainage reports and recommendations.
