We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced HGV Technician to join a reputable national dealership group in Preston, Lancashire. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional looking to advance their career within the motor trade sector. The HGV Technician role involves maintaining and repairing commercial vehicles, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency.

Undertake maintenance, servicing, and repairs on various commercial vehicles and trailers
Conduct fault diagnosis and testing to accurately identify issues
Complete all required paperwork for warranty, retail, and contract work
Perform preventative maintenance to minimise customer downtime and costs
Follow manufacturer procedures and stay updated with technical advances
Contribute to a safe and efficient workshop environmentRequirements of a HGV Technician:

NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (City & Guilds or similar)
Proven experience working on commercial vehicles and trailers
Strong diagnostic and repair skills
Organised, detail-oriented, with excellent problem-solving abilities
Full UK driving licence; HGV licence preferred but not essential
Professional attitude with good communication skills
