Our client, an international manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Production & Factory Manager to lead day‑to‑day manufacturing operations, drive continuous improvement, and ensure the efficient, safe, and high‑quality output of production facility.
This is a hands‑on leadership role suited to someone who thrives in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment and enjoys developing people, processes, and performance.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, duties to include:
* Oversee all factory operations including production, planning, quality, maintenance, and dispatch
* Lead, motivate, and develop production teams to achieve output, quality, and safety targets
* Implement and monitor KPIs across productivity, efficiency, waste reduction, and on‑time delivery
* Ensure compliance with H&S legislation, company policies, and industry standards
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, 5S, Kaizen) to optimise workflow and reduce downtime
* Manage resource planning, shift patterns, and labour allocation
* Work closely with senior management on capacity planning, forecasting, and operational strategy
* Oversee machine maintenance schedules and ensure minimal disruption to production
* Maintain strong communication between departments including Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain
* Ensure accurate reporting, documentation, and production records are maintained
As a successful candidate you will have experience as a Production Manager/Supervisor, Factory Manager, or similar role within manufacturing together with strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and influence teams and a solid understanding of manufacturing processes, machinery, and workflow optimisation.
Excellent problem‑solving skills with a proactive, solutions‑focused mindset and strong organisational and planning abilities with attention to detail are also essential as is confidence in communication and the ability to work cross‑functionally and manage multiple priorities.
A good understanding of H&S regulations and quality standards would also be beneficial.
