Assembly Technician
Location: Gloucester
Job Type: Full Time Hours: Monday – Thursday – 39 hrs per week ( x4 day week ).
Salary: 29 – 31K per annum
Swift Gloucester are currently recruiting for an experienced Assembly Technician to join a growing engineering team based in Gloucester.
The successful candidate will be responsible for building sub-assemblies, working to drawings as well as servicing and repairing. Hydraulic and Pneumatics experience required for the role.
As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for:
· Installing and fitting hydraulic attachments to hydraulic & pneumatic sub-assemblies
· Managing repairs and driving quality standards.
· Diagnosing and repairing hydraulic and mechanical faults.
· Carrying out inspections, servicing, and preventative maintenance.
· Supporting customers with technical advice and equipment solutions.
· Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high engineering standard.
· Maintaining a clean, organised workshop and working environment.
Skills & Experience Required
You will ideally have:
· Experience working with hydraulic and pneumatic sub-assemblies.
· Understanding of hydraulic systems, valves, cylinders, and components.
· Strong mechanical fault-finding and repair skills.
· Experience servicing and maintaining hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders.
· Ability to work independently and as a team member.
· Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
Desirable Experience
Any experience with the following would be advantageous:
· Hydraulic & pneumatics.
· Interpreting engineering drawings
· Mechanical fitting / assembly
