Solution Architect - SAP SAC Finance & Planning Transformation

About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Solution Architect to design and deliver an enterprise-grade planning and reporting solution for a leading client in the financial services sector. This is a pivotal role at the intersection of finance transformation and advanced analytics, leveraging the power of SAP S/4HANA Finance and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).

You will be responsible for architecting sophisticated cost allocation frameworks, segmental reporting structures, and fully integrated planning models spanning P&L, workforce, projects, and depreciation - all aligned to the client's fund management processes.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Integration

• Define end-to-end architecture for S/4HANA Finance and SAC integration
• Integrate S/4HANA actuals seamlessly with SAC planning models
• Define and govern data flows between MDH, S/4HANA, Datasphere, and SAC

Financial Design & Reporting

• Design and implement cost allocation methodologies within S/4HANA
• Architect segmental reporting structures for fund-level profitability
• Design SAC stories and dashboards tailored for executive reporting
• Ensure VAT compliance and audit readiness across all financial processes

Planning Model Development Develop SAC planning models covering:

• Fee income planning (ISIN/share class level)
• Delegate fee modelling
• Overhead cost allocation
• Asset depreciation and project planning
• Workforce planning and personnel cost modelling

Governance & Controls

• Implement master data governance to ensure consistency across platforms
• Enable SAC scenario modelling for profitability and cost simulations
• Implement robust controls for cost allocation and reporting accuracy

Stakeholder Engagement & Delivery

• Collaborate closely with finance, actuarial, and investment teams
• Conduct workshops and deliver clear solution walkthroughs
• Work with the broader delivery team, taking full ownership and accountability for solutions delivered

Required Skills & Experience

• 12+ years of experience in SAP Finance and Planning solutions
• Strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA Finance (GL, CO, Profitability Analysis)
• Proven experience in cost allocation and segmental reporting
• Proficiency in SAP Analytics Cloud - Planning & Reporting
• Experience integrating planning models with S/4HANA actuals
• Knowledge of fund management processes and financial planning
• Strong understanding of VAT compliance and indirect procurement workflows
• Excellent solution design, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• SAP certifications in S/4HANA Finance and/or SAC Planning
• Background in BFSI or Asset Management industry
• Familiarity with SAP Datasphere or comparable integration tooling
