My client is an established, director-led Accountancy practice that supports business owners and company directors across all stages of their business journey, from start-up and growth through to succession and exit planning. They also provide personal financial and tax planning services to help clients achieve long-term financial security.

As part of an international network, they benefit from access to extensive UK and overseas expertise, enhancing the support and opportunities available to both clients and staff.

Purpose

The Outsourcing Supervisor will support the delivery of high-quality management accounting and financial reporting services to a portfolio of clients. The role involves preparing and reviewing management accounts, overseeing day-to-day client work, and supporting junior team members while acting as a key client contact.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of outsourcing clients and act as a key point of contact
• Prepare and review management accounts, VAT returns, and month-end reporting
• Provide financial analysis and commentary to support client decision-making
• Oversee bookkeeping and ensure accuracy and compliance of client deliverables
• Supervise, support, and develop junior team members
• Lead client meetings and respond to queries in a timely manner
• Support implementation and use of cloud accounting systems and digital tools
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and better reporting
• Ensure all work is delivered in line with firm standards and deadlines

Requirements

• ACA/ACCA part-qualified, qualified, or qualified by experience
• Experience in management accounts, bookkeeping, VAT, or outsourced finance roles
• Experience reviewing work and supporting junior team members
• Strong knowledge of UK accounting principles
• Experience with cloud accounting software (e.g. Xero, Dext, Fathom, Telleroo)
• Strong communication and client relationship skills
• High attention to detail and strong organisational ability
• Proactive, hands-on approach with a focus on quality and improvement
