Tradewind Recruitment is currently working with this Client, a thriving secondary school in the borough of Lambeth, to appoint a committed and dynamic Economics & Business Studies Teacher to join their team full-time from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to teach motivated students across Key Stages 4 and 5 within a supportive and ambitious department.

Job role requirements include teaching Economics and Business Studies across KS4 and KS5, strong subject knowledge in both disciplines, the ability to deliver high-quality lessons that stretch and challenge all learners, effective classroom and behaviour management, and a commitment to raising attainment. You should be confident in using data to track progress and inform planning, and willing to contribute to curriculum development and enrichment activities.
The ideal candidate will hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, a relevant degree in Economics, Business Studies, or a closely related subject, and experience teaching within a secondary school setting. ECTs with strong subject knowledge and placement experience are also encouraged to apply. The successful teacher will be proactive, resilient, highly organised, and passionate about their subject, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
