We are looking for skilled electrical assemblers to join our clients engineering team. If you take pride in high quality workmanship, enjoy working from technical drawings, and want to be part of a company that values precision and innovation, this role will suit you perfectly. Our client are a company with over 20 year's experience producing premium, durable products that help customers work smarter, safer, and more efficiently.
Due to the nature of this position, candidates are required to be resident in the Corby or local area with Right to Work Documentation in place as this is a role with an immediate start.
The Role
A typical day will involve the following
Assemble small components including PLCs, relays, contactors, drives, and terminal blocks into finished products reading from schematic and blueprints.
Use hand tools and power tools and precise manual skills to meet production and quality targets.
Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings.
Building control panels which can contain anything from 5 to 100 cables.
Wiring an assembling intricate systems within conveyor machinery
Ensure all work meets safety, compliance, and customer specification requirements.
Housekeeping of workshop area, ensuring all H&S regulations are always adhered to Experience and Skills
Relevant electrical qualifications (NVQ, City & Guilds, etc.).
Proven experience as a Control Panel Builder, Electrical Technician, or similar role.
Have previously worked within an electrical engineering role (industrial electrics not residential)
Have manual dexterity and fine motor skills.
Strong ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematic and blueprints
Confident with panel wiring, cable routing, and component layout.
Quality inspections, spotting visual defects, measuring to exact tolerances, and catching failed units..
Repetitive concentration, the capacity to work quickly and accurately on repetitive tasks without losing focus.
