Working Hours

37.5 hours per week
Day shift pattern
Start times: 7:00am or 8:00am
Finish times: 3:00pm or 4:00pm
The Opportunity

Hawk 3 Talent Solutions are looking for a Test Technician to join a highly skilled, friendly, and customer-focused production team based in York, North Yorkshire. This role involves working both independently and collaboratively to carry out a range of technical testing and adjustment activities, ensuring products meet exact customer and specification requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Test and align precision components using engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions
Conduct a range of tests including fit, vibration, and response to environmental factors
Make precise adjustments using microscopes, scalpels, and small tools to achieve required frequency and amplitude ranges
Record, analyse, and interpret data from test equipment and analysers
Fault find, diagnose issues, and support resolution while maintaining quality standards
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment
Complete accurate documentation and update systems as required
Contribute to continuous improvement and team objectives
Skills & Experience

High attention to detail and a methodical, patient approach to work
Strong problem-solving and fault-finding ability
Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity
Ability to follow processes and technical instructions accurately
Experience working in a team environment and independently
Willingness to learn and develop new skills
Desirable:

Experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment
Familiarity with microscopes, test equipment, or small hand tools
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings or data
Qualifications

GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English
Eligibility Requirements

Must be a UK or NATO National
Must have the right to work in the UK
