Carmichael UK are seeking an experienced Site Engineer with strong earthworks experience to join a major HS2 project in Buckinghamshire.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on one of the UK's largest infrastructure projects, delivering large-scale earthworks packages within a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
Setting out and surveying for earthworks activities
Managing and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
Producing and maintaining accurate site records
Carrying out quality assurance checks and ensuring works are completed to specification
Preparing RAMS, ITPs and as-built documentation
Coordinating subcontractors and site teams
Monitoring progress and reporting to the Section Engineer/Senior Engineer
Ensuring works are delivered safely and in line with project standards
Supporting programme delivery and resolving technical issues on site
Requirements:
Previous experience working as a Site Engineer on major civil engineering or infrastructure projects
Strong earthworks experience is essential
Experience of working on large-scale projects such as highways, rail or major infrastructure schemes
Proficient in setting out using Leica and/or Trimble equipment
Good understanding of QA procedures and as-built documentation
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Valid CSCS card
Degree, HNC or HND in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
HS2 experience would be advantageous but is not essential
