Vision for Education is currently recruiting an Unqualified Teaching Assistant to work in specialist SEND schools across Sunderland. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping young people and interested in building a career within education or SEND support.

In this role, you will support pupils with a range of additional needs including Autism (ASC), learning difficulties, and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Working alongside experienced teachers and support staff, you will help pupils engage in learning, develop confidence, and feel safe and supported throughout the school day.

This role is ideal for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in SEND education, with full training and ongoing support provided.

The Ideal Unqualified Teaching Assistant Will Have:

A genuine interest in supporting children with Special Educational Needs

A patient, caring, and positive approach

The ability to build strong relationships with pupils and staff

Confidence supporting behaviour and classroom engagement

Experience working with children or young people (desirable but not essential)

A willingness to learn and take part in professional development
