Are you a Graduate CAD Technician or similar looking to develop your career in a Specialist Timber Frame Design role in a Family run company offering full training and progression to be a Technical expert and fully qualified Design Engineer?

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing, family-run timber frame manufacturer where you will be involved in the design phase of live construction projects, producing detailed drawings and plans that support the manufacture of timber frame structures.

The Role

Producing detailed timber frame design drawings ready for production
Interpreting client requirements during the design phase of projects
Creating and amending technical drawings using AutoCAD and SketchUp
Liaising with clients, architects, engineers and internal teams
Ensuring drawings meet relevant specifications, standards and safety regulations
Taking part in design and process reviews
Receiving ongoing training to develop timber frame design knowledge
The Person

Engineering / Architectural Graduate or similar
Confident using AutoCAD
Looking for training and development
SketchUp experience beneficial
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Strong attention to detail and logical problem-solving ability
Able to read and understand engineering or technical drawings
Good communication skills with the ability to build relationships internally and externally
UK driving licence and access to own transport
Based within commuting distance of Cookstown
