Principal Civil Engineer Birmingham
£60k-£65k plus benefits
Play a pivotal role in our client's Birmingham office, leading the delivery of complex infrastructure projects in the highways and infrastructure team.
Are you a highly capable engineer looking for more responsibility, able to combine your technical excellence with project leadership, client engagement and team development?
In this role you will be the technical leader within the team, supporting the growth of the business and ensuring highest standards of engineering for highways, infrastructure, earthworks and drainage projects. You will manage multiple projects, ensuring client expectations are achieved.
Strong team management skills are needed, as you will support the development of engineers and graduates within the team, helping strengthen capability and expertise.
You should have a strong background managing and obtaining technical approvals, including Section 38, 104, 278 and 185 agreements. Experience liaising with Local Authorities and other statutory bodies is vital. You will also have a strong understanding of DMRB, sustainable drainage principles, hydraulic modelling and development infrastructure design.
Along with the above you should be capable of providing direction on challenging engineering aspects, supporting technical reviews and promoting best practice. Strong relationship building skills are required with clients and stakeholders, allowing effective collaboration and coordination for each project.
Our client is seeking a Chartered or Incorporated engineer, or someone who is actively working towards professional accreditation who can demonstrate the leadership and experience required.
