Our client is seeking a skilled Navigation Systems Training Instructor to join their dynamic team, based at Gosport, Portsmouth. This permanent role is part of major defence project, a Transformational Training programme aimed at modernising marine training to deliver better-trained sailors to the front line faster.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver training on Naval Navigational and positional Data systems, along with basic Engineering principles in support of the RN Weapon Engineering (WE) Department.
Collaborate with Learning & Development and Training Delivery staff to identify and support a personalised approach to learning and development.
Utilise performance data and insights to drive continuous improvement across training establishments.
Identify and share best practices to enhance training quality and consistency across locations.
Implement standardised systems and processes for delivering training across all RN establishments.
Ensure training KPIs and SLAs are met, including for simulated and synthetic learning programmes.
Job Requirements:
Essential Skills:
Experience in maintaining sensor systems (Navigational / Gyro).
Ability to work as a team player with a demonstrated history of leading and collaborating across teams to ensure the successful delivery of training.
Experience working with mid-level stakeholders.Desirable Skills:
Level 3 teaching certificate or equivalent (will be enrolled onto an internal training course if not held).
Experience in military weapon engineering sensors systems maintenance or equivalent experience.
Understanding of RN, WE departmental workings or equivalent experience.
Experience in managing and maintaining RN WE sensors equipment.
