Location: Warrington
Contract Type: Temporary (Approx. 9 months)

Pay Rate: Minimum wage- (negotiable depending on experience)
Working Pattern: Part-time - approximately 2 mornings per week (flexible days, Monday-Thursday). Typical hours may be 9:00-12:00 or 10:00-14:00.
Overview
We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Lab Chemist to assist a small team for a temporary. This is a flexible, part-time opportunity providing essential support to ensure the smooth running and organisation of the laboratory.
This role would suit someone with previous laboratory exposure who is confident working in a lab environment and understands health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the laboratory
Wash and manage glassware and equipment
Ensure chemicals and materials are stored correctly
Support stock control and ordering of laboratory consumables
Assist with general laboratory organisation and housekeeping
Person Specification
Essential:
Previous experience working in a laboratory environment
Understanding of laboratory health and safety procedures
Ability to follow established policies and practices
Good organisational skills and attention to detail
Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently
Desirable:
Scientific background (e.g. Chemistry, Biology, or similar)
Experience handling samples or preparing solutions
Confidence carrying out routine lab tasks
Additional Information
You will be joining a small, supportive team
Flexibility around working days and hours can be accommodated
There is potential for the role to expand to include additional laboratory duties depending on capability
