Quantity Surveyor – Landscape Construction

London & the South East

Our client is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial delivery of landscape and external works projects. This role offers involvement across the full project lifecycle, from tender through to final account.

Key Responsibilities

* Prepare cost estimates, tenders, and feasibility studies

* Analyse drawings, specifications, and project requirements

* Procure and manage subcontractors and suppliers

* Administer contracts (JCT, NEC or similar)

* Monitor budgets, cash flow, and project profitability

* Produce valuations, variations, and final accounts

* Identify and manage commercial risks

* Liaise with project teams, clients, and stakeholders

Requirements

* Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline

* Proven experience in a QS role (landscape or construction desirable)

* Strong commercial, contractual, and negotiation skills

* Knowledge of construction contracts (e.g., JCT/NEC)

* Proficient in Excel and cost management tools

* Excellent communication and organisational abilities

* MRICS or working towards (desirable)
