We are currently recruiting a Mechanical & Electrical Assembler / Mechanical Fitter / Assembly Technician for a growing manufacturer of machinery and automotive components based in Rutland.
This is a hands-on role assembling bespoke engineered parts, working across mechanical assembly, hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical systems within a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Assemble machinery components using hand tools and power tools
* Work from engineering drawings and technical specifications
* Build and fit mechanical assemblies including hydraulic and pneumatic systems
* Carry out commissioning, testing, and fault finding on completed products
* Ensure all work meets required quality and production standards
* Support general workshop and manufacturing operations
Required Experience
* Experience as a Mechanical Fitter, Assembly Technician, or Mechanical Assembler
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
* Strong practical experience using hand and power tools
* Background in mechanical assembly or manufacturing environments
* High attention to detail and accuracy
Desirable Experience
* Basic electrical assembly or wiring experience
* Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics systems
* Forklift Truck (FLT) licence or previous FLT experience
* Experience in automotive, machinery, or industrial manufacturing
