Grade A Recruitment are working with a primary school in Peterborough to recruit a permanent SEND Teacher to join their team from September.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and passionate SEND Teacher who is committed to supporting pupils with additional needs and helping them achieve their full potential. The successful candidate will be confident leading a team and have experience working with pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), including non-verbal learners.
Experience within an EYFS setting would be advantageous.
Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons to meet the needs of SEND pupils
* Support pupils with ASD and non-verbal communication needs
* Lead and work collaboratively with support staff to ensure the best outcomes for pupils
* Create a positive, inclusive and nurturing learning environment
* Monitor, assess and report on pupil progress
* Work closely with families and external professionals where required
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Qualified or experienced SEND Teacher
* Experience working with pupils with ASD and non-verbal learners
* Confidence leading and supporting a team
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* A patient, adaptable and child-centred approach
* EYFS experience is desirable
