An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Engineer to join a highly innovative engineering business that designs and manufactures specialist automated machinery for customers across the globe.
This is a varied, hands-on role within a growing organisation, offering the chance to work on complex engineering projects from concept through to installation and commissioning.
The RoleAs a Project Engineer, you will be involved in the full lifecycle of bespoke machinery projects, including:
Designing special-purpose machinery and automation systems using SolidWorks
Managing bills of materials (BOMs), sourcing components and progressing orders
Coordinating machine builds, testing, commissioning and servicing activities
Supporting customers with technical problem-solving, both remotely and on-site
Liaising with suppliers and customers across the UK and internationally
Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and business processes
Supporting the development of new equipment, products and engineering solutionsAbout YouTo be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
Minimum 2 years' experience using SolidWorks 3D CAD
At least 3 years' experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment
Experience working with special-purpose machinery, automation or bespoke equipment
Strong project coordination and problem-solving skills
Good commercial awareness and customer-facing communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
HND, Degree or equivalent qualification in an Engineering discipline
Full UK driving licence (preferred)
Ability and willingness to undertake occasional international travelExperience or knowledge of Industry 4.0 technologies would be advantageous.
