Do you possess a NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate and CSCS Card?
Location: Cambridgeshire
Rate: £350 to £400 umbrella (inside IR35)
Contract Length: Until January 2027
Start Date: ASAP
A leading main contractor is looking to appoint an experienced SHE Advisor to support the safe delivery of works on a major water project in Cambridgeshire.
This is a site-based role working closely with operational teams to promote a strong health, safety and environmental culture whilst ensuring works are delivered safely, compliantly and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
·Carry out site inspections, audits and safety tours.
·Support operational teams with risk identification and implementation of control measures.
·Ensure compliance with H&S legislation, CDM regulations and project procedures.
·Provide coaching and practical SHE guidance to site teams and management.
·Deliver toolbox talks and support workforce engagement initiatives.
·Investigate incidents, near misses and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
·Support reporting, performance monitoring and continuous improvement activities.
·Liaise with project stakeholders to promote safe delivery.
Essential Requirements:
·NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate.
·Previous experience working in a SHE/H&S Advisory position within construction/infrastructure.
·Strong working knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015.
·CSCS card (or equivalent).
·Membership of a relevant professional body.
·Full UK driving licence.
Desirable Requirements:
·NEBOSH Diploma or NVQ Level 5/6 in Occupational Health & Safety.
·IEMA qualification.
·Incident investigation training (TOPSET / TapRoot / equivalent).
·Experience supporting high-risk activities including temporary works, lifting operations, excavations and working at height.
·First Aid qualification.
