Our client, a leading UK manufacturer within the polythene industry, is looking for an experienced Print Operator to join their production team. This is a hands-on role working with high-performance machinery in a fast-paced environment, offering strong opportunities for development and progression.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and mix inks in line with production schedules
* Read and interpret technical job specifications
* Set up and operate flexographic printing presses
* Monitor print quality and ensure high standards are met
* Carry out colour matching and adjustments
* Optimise machine performance to reduce waste and improve efficiency
* Troubleshoot and resolve machine or process issues
* Maintain high housekeeping standards across production areas
* Accurately complete production documentation
* Adhere to all Health & Safety and DSEAR regulations
* Support continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements:
* Minimum 1 year printing experience (flexographic preferred)
* Understanding of print processes and quality control
* Ability to read technical specifications
* Strong attention to detail
* Good problem-solving and mechanical awareness
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Willingness to work rotating shifts
* GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English
Shift Pattern
* 12-hour continental shifts
* 4 days on / 4 off / 4 nights on / 4 off
* Days: 6:00am – 6:00pm
* Nights: 6:00pm – 6:00am
