The Opportunity
A leading UK business within the agricultural and supply chain sector is seeking an experienced Transport Planner / Coordinator to join its busy logistics team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys coordinating transport operations to ensure outstanding customer service and efficient delivery performance.
Key Responsibilities
Planning and coordinating daily transport schedules and delivery routes.
Liaising with drivers, customers, depots, and third-party transport providers.
Monitoring vehicle movements and responding to operational issues as they arise.
Ensuring deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and on time.
Maintaining accurate transport and compliance records.
Managing customer enquiries and providing regular updates on deliveries.
Supporting the wider logistics and supply chain function.
Identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
Ensuring compliance with all transport legislation and company procedures.About You
Previous experience in transport planning, logistics coordination, haulage, or distribution.
Strong organisational and time-management skills.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Office and transport management systems.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Knowledge of transport compliance and logistics operations would be advantageous.What's on Offer
